Newman’s Own Organic Cat Food

It’s hard to talk about organic cat food without thinking about Newman’s Own organic products. Not only do they have great organic products for people but they have high quality organic pet foods and pet treats as well.
Newman’s Own Organic Cat Food has ingredients like organic chicken, peas, carrots, barley, flax seed meal and parsley. Their premium cat foods also contain probiotics like lactobacillus acidophilus to help with bowel health and to aid in digestion.
Ingredients you won’t find in their organic cat food include chicken or other meat by products, chemical fertilizers, antibiotics, steroids, or artificial colors or flavors. You also won’t find wheat or corn in their natural cat food because some cats are allergic to these grains.
Newman’s Own cat food is USDA Certified Organic, meaning it has passed a third party certification process. They believe feeding organic pet foods benefits your pet by eliminating the buildup of residue from pesticides, herbicides, preservatives and additives that have an adverse effect on your pet’s health.
They use free range meats and ensure the animals used in the food are well cared for. The foods are well tested for correct nutritional value and approved by the AAFCO — Association of American Feed Control Officials — but the analytical testing is not done on animals. After the foods have passed all their tests they do have animals at shelters taste test the food.
Another reason to feel good about buying Newman’s Own Organic Cat Food is that all profits from their pet foods go towards educational programs and charity.
